Brig Hart wins orange Lamborghini at MonaVie Orlando Regional

Thousands of MonaVie distributors gathered at the 2008 Orlando Super Regional just over a week ago. On stage, 5 of the world’s most luxurious vehicles were on display.

The lights shined on these exotic cars all day—a Ferrari F430 Spider, a Maserati GranTurismo, a Bentley GT Convertible, a Rolls Royce Phantom Black, and a Lamborghini Murcielago. Towards the end of the event, founder and CEO Dallin Larsen made two major announcements revealing the cars’ purpose:

First of all, Larsen announced MonaVie’s parnership with duPont REGISTRY, the premier classified marketplace for luxury cars for sale—to create MonaVie’s Exotic Car Awards Program. Then, Larsen announced that Brig and Lita Hart are the first distributors to achieve MonaVie’s newest rank—Crowne Black Diamond!

Along with $1 million in cash, the Harts got to choose one of the 5 cars on stage!

With the crowd urging them on, the Hart family selected the orange (xango coloured? )Lamborghini Murcielago :-)

Congratulations Brig and Lita!

Superstar Freestyle Motocross Rider Brian Deegan Stocks MonaVie

In the kitchen, we learn that Brian Deegan loves to BBQ and that he keeps a full stock of MonaVie Active. He'll need that energy when he hits his personal gym with his extreme trainer, "Bobby Beefcake." Brian then takes us outside to his large collection of toys: a Mercedes-Benz CLS55 AMG, a Chevelle, some Honda CR 250 dirt bikes and a tricked out motor home. The backyard is the Metal Mulisha's personal playground, set up with huge dirt bike ramps and an infinity edge pool to relax in after riding. And Brian has one more surprise in store for us as he brings the tour to an end -- he and Marissa fire up a tractor to build some new jumps!

Quentin Tarantino Eye Spy a Bottle of MonaVie

I was having some lunch the other day with one of my celebrity friends and guess who walked up and said hello. Well I'll be damn if he didn't ask for a bottle of Active to try. I'll be following up and maybe I'll have another celebrity distributor under me. I couldn't help but have a friend snap a pic as he ran back across the street.

Dr. Perricone's 10 Superfoods No. 1: Açaí

It may seem odd to start this list of superfoods with one you’ve likely never even heard of. But studies have shown that this little berry is one of the most nutritious and powerful foods in the world! Açaí (ah-sigh-ee) is the high-energy berry of a special Amazon palm tree. Harvested in the rainforests of Brazil, açaí tastes like a vibrant blend of berries and chocolate. Hidden within its royal purple pigment is the magic that makes it nature's perfect energy fruit. Açaí is packed full of antioxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids. Although açaí may not be available in your local supermarket, you can find it in several health food and gourmet stores (often in juice form). A new product featuring the unsweetened pulp is now also available, and I highly recommend that you choose this form of açaí.

What Our Children Are and [Aren’t] Eating

USDA has recently reported that:
Fewer than 15% of elementary-age students eat the recommended five or more servings of fruits & vegetables.

More than half of all elementary students eat NO FRUIT on any given day and 3 of 10 students eat less than one serving of vegetables daily.

25% of all vegetables consumed by elementary students comes in the form of French fries – a relatively poor vegetable option.

Redstone attributes his good health to a Brazilian berry.

(Fortune Magazine) -- As the years tick by, Sumner Redstone just gets more optimistic. Earlier this year the 84-year-old said he planned to live another 50 years; two years ago he was predicting another 20.

His age has been in the spotlight lately because of the recent public spat with his daughter over his succession plans, but the controller of Viacom (Charts) and CBS (Charts, Fortune 500) has lately been getting a bit of help in the form of a little-known superjuice called MonaVie. "It's a miracle drug," he told Fortune. "I feel great."

A dark-purple elixir with a cult-like following, MonaVie is an antioxidant-rich concoction whose main ingredient is the Brazilian aai berry (pronounced ah-sigh-ee), long touted among health nuts for its anti-aging ingredients.

Vitamin-water it's not: MonaVie and you can't get it in stores; it's marketed only through the company's network of thousands of individuals who sell it out of their homes (think Avon or Tupperware).

Redstone first heard of the juice from Viacom exec Bill Roedy on a trip to Germany in January. After learning that his butler's sister-in-law was a devotee too, Redstone ordered some up and started drinking four ounces a day. "Since I've been on MonaVie I haven't taken a sleeping pill," he says.
